- I've been trying (for quite a while, actually) to get ZipTools and
- my Zeus SCSI interface to like each other. Currently, I am using the
- ZIP0: mount file that came with ZipTools and changed the tooltype
- ACTIVATE=0 so that I can boot my system without a disk in the zip
- drive. (if I keep activate=1, the device gets mounted even when
- there is no disk in the drive, and I have to reboot in order for a
- disk to be recognized).
-
- In my WBstartup drawer are 3 programs: SquirrelZipTools,
- SCSIpatch_Zeus, and Removable. The last 2 are programs that came
- with the Zeus to patch the PPSscsi2.device and to make the Zeus
- check for disk changes with removable media. The only way I have
- been able to get Zip disks to be recognized by the system (and to be
- able to change them without rebooting) is to write on their RDB
- (which ZipTools doesn't do) and use the ZIP0: mount file. However,
- ZipTools will then crash my system when I try to bring it up with a
- <control><alt>Z.
-
- I would like to be able to use the passwd feature of ZipTools, but
- so far I can't. Heck, I can't even format a disk using ZipTools,
- since it crashes when I try to use it! Is there anyone using a Zip
- drive, ZipTools, and a Zeus that has gotten this to work? If so, I'd
- like to hear from ya. :)
